Saint Laurent With Daido Moriyama Exhibition At Palais Royal
Daido Moriyama is the first artist selected by Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello to work for a new art project, presented in Paris at Palais Royal from the 9th till the 11th of November during Paris Photo. The exhibition will be presented in a light-installation accessible to the public in the Galerie d’Orléans courtyard, in front of Palais Royal garden.
The intention of the project is to represent the freedom of self-expression without censorship, and convey many different facets of the Saint Laurent attitude. Creative disciplines across art and fashion reinforce and fuel the concept of diversity, individuality, and self-confidence through a lens free from pretense and hypocrisy. This project is an artistic commentary on society while emphasizing the core values of Saint Laurent. Self is formed by a heady mixture of attraction, ambivalence and mystery generated by photographers, artists, and filmmakers selected by Anthony Vaccarello who have come together to make a confrontational statement.
